Tanya Petrossian '05, Ph.D. '10EndoCyclic Therapeutics, founded by Tanya Petrossian '05, Ph.D. '10, just announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the company's Investigational New Drug (IND) application for its lead program, ENDO-205, a first-in-class, non-hormonal targeted peptide therapeutic for endometriosis.  The company plans to initiate a Phase 1 clinical study in healthy pre-menopausal women of reproductive age.

Petrossian received her B.S. in biochemistry (with Magna Cum Laude honors) and her Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.  She conducted her doctoral research in the laboratory of Professor Steven Clarke in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  After receiving her Ph.D., Petrossian completed her fellowship training at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and postdoctoral training in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology.

In 2017, she was featured in a Daily Bruin article and she was appointed Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Entrepreneur in Residence.
